USP Team

Elena Saviano

Clinical Coordinator

I began my professional career working in journalism and the arts before transitioning to the field of psychology. Prior to joining the Union Square Practice team, I worked with Square One Psychology as a PCIT-SM certified counselor for young children with selective mutism. My clinical work in early childhood psychology is endlessly rewarding and exciting, and I plan to complete a doctorate dedicated to advancing trauma-informed and developmentally sensitive care for children.

In another life, what career would you have pursued?

I am not gifted whatsoever in the kitchen, so I would love to be a chef.

What’s something your coworkers might be surprised to learn about you?

I have been playing classical piano for my whole life, and I used to compete in competitions as a kid. I still make time to practice when I can.

What is a self-care ritual or routine you value?

My most meditative practices are riding my bike, reading, and snuggling with my two cats.
