What do you specialize in?
I specialize in working with people through relationship and attachment issues, depression, anxiety, self-doubt, shame, loneliness, and childhood trauma. I foster a thoughtful space for navigating life transitions, complex family dynamics, questions of identity and purpose, and overall feelings of being stuck or lost.
I also work with couples who want to open up or rediscover deeper emotional intimacy, develop mutual understanding, move past built-up resentment, or improve their ease of communication and conflict resolution.
How do you describe your therapeutic approach?
My approach is informed by psychoanalytic theory and contemporary research on attachment and trauma. Talking together with honesty and curiosity can deepen your understanding of yourself and your experiences, build resilience, and support authentic, lasting growth.
I understand that trust takes time and care to develop. Together, we’ll cultivate a relationship in which you can come to feel safe and free to express what’s troubling you. I’ll help you make better sense of what you’re struggling with and why, and support you in tuning into and working toward what well-being might look and feel like for you.
What’s the most rewarding part of your job?
I am moved to see those I work with further articulate their senses of self, deepen connections in their relationships, and move toward fulfillment.
What should I expect in our first session?
We’ll talk about what brings you to therapy and what you’re hoping for out of this process. If you’ve been to therapy before, we’ll discuss what worked well for you and what didn’t, so we can learn from that experience. Beyond that, we’ll start wherever feels right to you. All of this will inform how we move forward in our work together.
