How do you describe your therapeutic approach?
I primarily practice from a humanistic perspective, focusing on personal growth, meaning-making, freedom, choice, and personal responsibility. I also remain flexible and draw from a range of therapeutic approaches to find what works best for each client. My goal is to listen carefully and create a space where clients feel understood, respected, and never judged for their experiences or emotions.
What do you specialize in?
I work with adults across a wide range of mental health concerns and commonly treat depression, anxiety, ADHD and attention difficulties, sleep disorders, and obsessive or thought disorders.
As a member of the LGBTQ+ and BIPOC communities, I find meaningful work in supporting individuals from these communities in their growth and wellbeing. I enjoy helping clients explore how their identities, relationships, and cultural experiences can be sources of strength.
I also have a special interest in working with adults experiencing sexual function concerns, as well as individuals living with cancer or chronic pain.
What’s something your clients might be surprised to learn about you?
I am an aspiring polyglot. I’m fluent in Spanish, conversational in French, and have basic familiarity with Arabic and Hebrew.
Earlier in my academic journey, I planned to attend veterinary school and become a large animal veterinarian working with horses, cows, and other farm animals. Along the way, I began working with nurses and became fascinated by the challenge of integrating science with the individual needs of each person. That experience led me to nursing, and I’ve loved the work ever since.
What is a self-care ritual you practice?
Spending time outdoors and staying connected with others is essential for me. I try to schedule time each week to visit a park, museum, or the beach to step away from routine and enjoy life with people I care about.
I also love to travel and try to explore new places around the world every year.
