How do you describe your therapeutic approach?
My approach is rooted in creating a safe and nurturing environment where children, educators, and families feel understood, supported, and empowered. As a white woman, queer wife, and mother of two multiracial children, I bring both personal insight and professional expertise to my work, ensuring every child and family I serve feels respected and valued.
What do you specialize in?
CBT for anxiety, for both individual and group therapy. Also, experiential training for teachers.
What’s the most rewarding part of your job?
I love working with children and all of the grownups who support them. Helping children and families thrive is at the heart of everything I do. I believe in the incredible potential of every child to overcome challenges, develop new skills, and find joy in their unique strengths.
In another life, if you weren’t working in counseling, what would you be doing?
Planning travel adventures — I love the sun, beach, and water!!
What’s something your clients might be surprised to learn about you?
I did commercials for Burger King as a kid.
What is a self-care ritual you practice?
I love yoga and swimming —they help me feel both grounded and free!
