What should I expect in our first session?
You can expect to feel welcomed and supported. We will use this time to get to know each other, explore what brings you to therapy, and establish some initial goals for our work together. You don’t need to plan or prepare anything in advance; if you’re unsure about what specifically brings you in, we’ll work together in a warm, empathic way to clarify your needs and create a plan.
What do you specialize in?
I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, ADHD, and situational stressors, with a strong focus on integrating psychotherapy and medication management when appropriate. Drawing from Emotion-Focused Therapy and other evidence-based practices, I take a comprehensive, holistic approach that addresses both the emotional and biological aspects of mental health. My goal is to help clients navigate their challenges in a way that fosters personal growth, emotional well-being, and meaningful change.
What’s the most rewarding part of your job?
The most rewarding part of my job is the relationships I build with my patients. I never take for granted the privilege of being invited into their lives, especially during such personal and vulnerable moments. I feel deeply honored to support and guide people through their lived experiences.
In another life, if you weren’t working in counseling, what would you be doing?
In another life, I would be a teacher. I have a deep passion for education and mentoring others, and I find great fulfillment in helping people grow and develop their potential.
What’s something your clients might be surprised to learn about you?
Clients might be surprised to learn that I created an academic coloring book on neuroanatomy and neurotransmitters. It was a fun project because I got to translate complex concepts into a clear, engaging format that makes learning about the topic accessible for everyone
