Strata Focus: Executive Function Coaching

Executive function coaching for thriving

Strata Focus Executive Function Coaching

Strata Focus is Union Square Practice’s executive function coaching program for students, professionals, and high-achievers who want to perform more consistently.

We help clients strengthen the core skills that drive success, including attention, organization, planning, time management, and follow-through.

The Strata Focus Coaching Team

Ashley Ciammetti

Whether it’s managing school assignments, work tasks, or personal goals, I work with clients to find the tools they need to succeed in everyday life. I am deeply passionate about addressing the sensory processing and self-regulation needs that often impact executive functioning, particularly in the neurodivergent population. I believe that understanding the unique sensory experiences and emotional responses of individuals with conditions like ADHD, autism, and other neurodevelopmental differences is key to helping them thrive. By combining my expertise in Occupational Therapy with my focus on executive functioning, I work to develop personalized strategies that support sensory processing, self-regulation, improve self-awareness and foster emotional control. This holistic approach helps individuals gain the skills and confidence they need to navigate daily tasks, manage stress, and reach their full potential in their academic, professional and life settings.

Outside of my professional work, I love spending time with my husband and four kids, reading, listening to podcasts, going for walks and exploring new soup recipes. My deep understanding and experience with balancing family life and work has allowed me to bring empathy and relatability into my coaching approach, ensuring that you as the client feel supported and confident as you navigate life’s challenges.

Geoff Fisher

His work focuses on supporting clients with challenges related to organization, planning, time management, motivation, task initiation, and follow-through, skills that are often impacted by anxiety, depression, and the demands of modern life. Geoff takes a collaborative, strengths-based approach that helps clients better understand how their minds work while developing practical systems and strategies to support focus, productivity, and sustainable daily routines.

Drawing from approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and narrative therapy, Geoff helps clients identify patterns, build self-awareness, and create personalized structures that make it easier to manage responsibilities and move toward meaningful goals. Before becoming a therapist, Geoff worked as a teacher for four years, where he discovered that his greatest impact came from helping students navigate academic, social, and emotional challenges, particularly those connected to executive functioning and learning differences. This experience continues to shape his work today as he helps clients develop the tools, clarity, and confidence needed to navigate complex responsibilities and life transitions.

By integrating mindfulness, movement, neuroscience, and executive functioning strategies, I aim to meet clients where they are while fostering their strengths and expanding their edges.

With over a decade of experience across diverse fields—including dance/movement therapy, strength and conditioning, sports psychology, and creative arts education—I have developed a multifaceted approach to coaching. My work is informed by my own journey navigating neurodivergence, queerness, chronic illness, and the complexities of being human. These experiences have taught me the power of meeting challenges with curiosity and compassion.

In my practice, I emphasize process over perfection. Whether working with athletes seeking peak performance, individuals building executive functioning skills, or patients in inpatient psychiatric care, I focus on creating safe spaces for exploration and growth. Together with my clients, I build personalized strategies that honor their lived experiences while integrating tools like mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR), flow state optimization, somatic awareness, and creative problem-solving.

I am particularly passionate about supporting neurodivergent individuals in developing executive functioning skills. By combining my background in movement therapy with evidence-based coaching techniques, I help clients cultivate self-awareness, manage stressors effectively, and build sustainable habits for success. My goal is to empower clients to trust their inner knowledge while offering practical tools to navigate life’s challenges.

I am honored to work alongside clients as they explore their capabilities and find their own paths to growth. Together, we build mastery over time—not through a cookie-cutter approach but by responding to the unique needs of each individual with creativity and care. Outside of my professional work, I’m a lifelong learner who finds joy in circus arts, mindfulness practice, harm reduction advocacy, and fostering inclusive spaces for artist-athletes. My approach is deeply rooted in curiosity—about people’s stories, their potential for growth, and the ways we can co-create meaningful change.

I’m passionate about meeting students where they are—emotionally, academically, and personally—and working together to build the strategies they need to set meaningful goals and achieve them. Whether they’re managing schoolwork, navigating personal challenges, or juggling work tasks, I partner with my clients to help them succeed in every area of their life.

Through my extensive experience working with students from Kindergarten to 12th grade, I’ve developed a profound understanding of how neurodiversity shapes a person’s sensory and emotional experiences. I specialize in supporting students with ADHD, Dyslexia, and other neurodevelopmental differences, knowing firsthand how critical it is to create personalized strategies that foster self-regulation, sensory processing, and emotional control. My goal is not only to help individuals cope with their challenges but to empower them to truly thrive by building self-awareness and emotional resilience.

When I’m not helping my clients reach their goals, I love spending time with my husband, discovering new places, cooking meals from scratch, attending concerts, and going for walks to explore the world around me. I understand what it’s like to juggle many responsibilities, and I use that understanding to offer support with empathy and compassion. My mission is to ensure that every client feels understood, supported, and confident as they work toward their goals and navigate life’s complexities.

How Strata Focus Began

Strata Focus was founded by Dr. David Bright, whose career spans academia, clinical psychology, research, and performance coaching. After earning his Ph.D. from Penn State, Dr. Bright taught graduate-level clinical mental health counseling while maintaining an active practice as both a therapist and executive functioning coach.

Through his work with students, professionals, and high-achieving adults, Dr. Bright recognized a consistent pattern: talented individuals were often held back not by ability, but by challenges with focus, organization, and follow-through. Drawing on research-backed strategies, including time blocking, habit stacking, anchor tasks, and the Pomodoro method, he began adapting executive function tools to meet the real-world demands of high performers.

In collaboration with Dr. Michael Dulchin and Dr. Jonathan Fader, Dr. Bright developed a structured, evidence-based coaching model and training system for expert coaches. This work became the foundation for Strata Focus.
