Sex Therapy & Concerns
Sexuality encompasses a broad range of issues. When you struggle with your sexuality, whether you have difficulty understanding your own body or are having trouble with a partner, it can create tremendous anxiety. Being honest with yourself and/or your partner that you need help takes courage and strength. However, once you begin sex therapy you will realize the tremendous difference it makes in your confidence and in your relationship.
At Union Square Practice, sex therapist Rachel Hoffman will ensure you a safe space, where, together, you can determine the root of the issue using a sexual assessment questionnaire. Therapy can include communication exercises, intimacy exercises to try at home, sensate therapy, Gottman therapy, mindfulness, and body esteem exercises. Rachel works with a solution focused and strength-based approach, so that when you leave the session you will feel like you have moved forward in therapy and can take home practices to improve your daily life.
